Day Trip Soap Company began as a heartfelt hobby, inspired by an old recipe book that belonged to our founder's grandmother, who worked for a university extension office teaching self-reliance to the community. The book contained a recipe for soap made with tallow, lye (made from wood ash), and water. Curious about soap making, many hours were spent experimenting with more modern recipes using essential oils, butters, and natural additives. This experimentation grew into a passion, ultimately leading to the establishment of Day Trip Soap Company. Since our inception, we have expanded to many other body products while continuing to prioritize simplicity and purity. While many companies use over 35 ingredients in a simple lotion, our lotion contains just seven carefully selected components, ensuring they are gentle on your skin and kind to the environment.
